Port Angeles, WA – January 27, 2026 – BRIX Marine has launched a 12.5-metre (41-foot) NAiAD Tourist RIB.  The Maui based owner, Makai Adventures, commissioned this custom vessel to deliver safe, comfortable and high-capacity passenger experiences in the demanding coastal environment off the coast of the island.

Designed to transport up to 40 passengers plus two crew, MAKAI combines a rugged 5086 aluminum NAIAD hull with refined onboard amenities and advanced marine technology. The vessel features a 19-degree progressive deadrise, welded lifting strakes and watertight bulkheads, providing exceptional stability, ride comfort and seaworthiness across a wide range of operating conditions.

Powering MAKAI are twin Yamaha XTO Offshore 450-horsepower outboards, delivering confident performance and reliability for commercial and adventure-based operations. Integrated Yamaha Helm Master EX electronic controls with electronic steering provide precise handling and intuitive maneuverability, while Zipwake dynamic trim control automatically optimizes pitch and roll for passenger comfort.

MAKAI is configured with a thoughtfully designed deck layout that prioritizes passenger flow, safety and flexibility. Seating includes multiple bench configurations with premium marine cushions and integrated storage, accommodating group tours while maintaining open deck space. Fold-down gunwale seating, adjustable table/bench arrangements and removable cooler seating allow the layout to adapt to a variety of tour and activity profiles.

“The all-aluminum canopy and perimeter bench seats that convert to tables are exclusive to MAKAI,” highlighted Perry Knudson, Managing Director of BRIX Marine.  “Her boarding arrangement is also one of kind, combining the ‘swim club’ style doors with stern ladders outboard of the Yamaha engines.  These features enable MAKAI’s owners to deliver a premium experience for their guests.”

Built for high-traffic boarding and water access, the vessel features side drop doors with swim ladders, aft swim platforms, multiple boarding ladders and robust handrail systems throughout. The D-shaped foam collar system with heavy-duty polyurethane outer skins enhances impact protection and durability in commercial service environments.

A fully enclosed head compartment with freshwater flush toilet, sink and solar ventilation supports longer excursions, while an integrated electronics suite – including Garmin navigation, AIS, VHF, radar-ready networking and Fusion audio — ensures situational awareness and onboard communication for crew and guests alike.

MAKAI represents the latest delivery in a proven 12.5-meter vessel platform developed for passenger vessel operators.  She is the first RIB delivered to the island of Maui since the devastating fire in August 2023.  MAKAI represents an exciting step towards attracting tourism back to Lahaina, Maui.

Measuring 12.5 meters (41 feet) with a 4.6-meter (15-foot) beam, Warrior is certified under USCG Subchapter T to carry 40 passengers plus crew. Port Angeles, WA — September 15, 2025 — BRIX Marine has announced the delivery of Full Metal Jacket, a 3814-CTC-SWA Classic Tunnel Catamaran with starboard walkaround and flybridge lounge, designed as part of the company’s RecPro lineup. Built for recreational use in Alaska, the vessel combines fishing capability with the comfort needed for extended cruising. 

At 38 feet in hull length with a 14-foot beam and an overall length of 44 feet, Full Metal Jacket is powered by twin Yamaha XTO 450 horsepower outboards. Dual helm stations—one in the cabin and one on the aft deck—are equipped with joystick steering and autopilot for precise handling. Dual 250-gallon fuel tanks and a 20 kW Northern Lights generator provide range and reliability for multi-day trips. 

On deck, Full Metal Jacket features BRIX Marine’s Beachcomber bow door for direct shore access, an extended transom, fish lockers, and a dedicated cleaning station. Rod holders, downrigger pads, and a pot puller outfit the boat for serious fishing, while a roof-mounted davit and tender package add independence and safety for remote cruising. 

Inside, the cabin is fully insulated and arranged for comfort. A suspension-mounted helm chair, wrap-around settee with convertible berth, a quarter berth, and split cuddy staterooms provide sleeping and seating options for extended outings. The galley includes a refrigerator-freezer, induction cooktop, speed oven, and solid-surface counters. The enclosed head compartment is industry leading for the vessel size and offers a freshwater toilet, Corian counter, and separate shower stall. Heating and defrost systems support all-weather operation. 

Electronics and communications are centered on a Garmin navigation suite with multifunction displays, radar, sonar, VHF, and cameras. A Fusion stereo system provides audio throughout the vessel. To support extended stays off-grid, the boat has been wired for a customer-supplied Starlink Mini antenna for satellite connectivity.

Airmid is powered by twin Yamaha XTO 425 horsepower outboards, with Helm Master EX joystick steering and autopilot at both the main helm and a secondary station. Dual 250-gallon fuel tanks, a 6 kW Northern Lights diesel generator, and a Victron MultiPlus inverter/charger provide range and independent operation.

The vessel is equipped for fishing with dual fish lockers, a fish cleaning station, integrated downrigger pads, and an Electra-Dyne pot puller with removable davit. Rod storage is built into the cabin, rooftop, and transom. Additional outfitting includes BRIX Marine’s bow beachcombing stairs for direct shore access, a Lone Star GX4 drum winch with MMX-5 anchor, and a roof-mounted davit with tender and 15-horsepower outboard.

The cabin is fully insulated and arranged for extended use. Features include a helm chair on a Shockwave suspension module, convertible settee, quarter berth, and split cuddy staterooms. A galley with refrigerator-freezer, cooktop, microwave, and sink supports longer trips. The vessel is outfitted with heating and defrost systems, a 55-gallon freshwater tank, 35-gallon blackwater tank, and an FCI Aquamiser+ watermaker rated at 600 gallons per day.

Electronics and communications systems include a Garmin GPSMAP suite with multiple multifunction displays, radar, VHF with hailer, CHIRP transducer, and an aft-deck camera. The vessel is also equipped with Starlink satellite connectivity, a Sionyx Nightwave low-light camera, LED lighting, and a Fusion three-zone stereo system.

The owners have already put Airmid through her paces, running the vessel from Port Angeles to Kodiak. “The trip went really well—the boat handled beautifully, and everywhere we went people stopped to compliment her,” the owners shared. “It’s an awesome boat, and we couldn’t be happier.”

Airmid was delivered with full USCG documentation and is now based in Kodiak, Alaska.

All windows are bonded directly to the superstructure, creating a modern, low-profile appearance while expanding visibility from within the vessel. The interior includes an upgraded companionway design, which provides access to the quarter berth and incorporates a bench seat facing inboard to increase seating capacity in a sofa-like layout.

LED lighting is installed throughout and is digitally controlled. The interior head is built to a high level of finish, and both the head and the bulkhead separating it from the main salon offer customization options, allowing owners to personalize the interior layout and appearance.

The navigation system is centered around the Volvo Glass Cockpit interface. The main helm features two 16-inch multifunction displays, with an additional 16-inch display on the aft deck and a 12-inch display on the flybridge. Integrated electronics include a Garmin VHF 215 radio with hailer, a GHS 11 remote handset at the flybridge, a GPS antenna, 1kW stainless steel CHIRP transducer, and a GMR 18HD+ 4kW radar with an 18-inch dome and a range of up to 36 nautical miles.

The vessel is equipped with a NMEA 2000 network and includes three Garmin GC 200 marine IP cameras monitoring each engine room and the aft deck, as well as a Sionyx night vision camera. A magnetic compass is also mounted behind the helm for redundancy.

The onboard audio system is powered by a Fusion stereo featuring Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, AM/FM, AUX, and USB connectivity. A 500-watt, six-channel amplifier drives three audio zones located throughout the main cabin, aft deck, and flybridge.

The 4014-CTC is currently in the design phase. Technical drawings are complete, and the vessel is available for customer-specific outfitting.

Olohana includes a first-of-its-kind boarding design. BRIX and Naiad worked together to create a “swim club” side door in the collar system. These unique doors have an aluminum structure that hinges on the bottom, dropping to extend the side decks outboard. A telescoping swim ladder deploys off the boarding doors very close to the waterline. BRIX has used the “swim club” function on previous vessels, and this is the first time it has been successfully deployed on a RHIB.

Port Angeles, WA – BRIX Marine is excited to announce the launch of its latest megayacht tender, the 11.8-meter T/T Kismet. This custom Naiad RHIB was designed for the tender garage on the 122-meter Kismet, recently launched by Lürssen. The 11.8-meter joins multiple other tenders in Kismet’s arsenal, and she stands out as a high-performance vessel that delivers a luxury experience from stem to stern.

Powered by twin Yanmar 440HP diesel engines paired with Hamilton Jet HJX 27 waterjets, T/T Kismet reaches speeds of nearly 50 knots. Hamilton’s AVX Express system, including MouseBoat control, makes handling easy. The vessel features a Sleipner bow thruster and Zipwake interceptors for seamless control. The aluminum hull, with a 3.5-meter beam, combines stability, safety, and durability.

Captain Kyle Fultz commented during sea trials, “T/T Kismet is a nice boat, and her performance is better than expected. BRIX did a great job.”

Luxury amenities include an aft sun lounge built into the hinging engine cover, a carbon fiber table that stows into the backrest, and a midship hardtop covering seating and a wet bar. The main station features Shockwave suspension seats, and below-deck access to a head is available via a glass-hatched companionway. The forward deck includes lounges, a drop bow door with integrated stairs, and a hidden anchor system beneath the raised bow.

 

T/T Kismet’s lifting apparatus was designed to fit the megayacht’s tender garage. A three-point system with custom straps enables secure lifting, while a hinged hardtop lowers the tender’s profile for storage. Both the hardtop and engine cover can be adjusted with a control switch.

“This project had a unique set of requirements for our team to navigate. We worked together shaping creative solutions that make T/T Kismet a standout tender,” said Perry Knudson, Managing Director of BRIX Marine. “We are honored to be part of this megayacht project.”

T/T Kismet is also equipped with advanced technology, including 12V and 24V electrical systems, shore power charging, Garmin GPS and navigation, and a Fusion Apollo stereo system paired with JL Audio speakers. The vessel’s LED lighting includes RGBW lights both above and underwater, enhancing the experience day or night.
